Expiry Bin ("we," "our," or "the App"), developed by Onion Tech, helps users organize household products, track expiry dates, scan product barcodes, and receive reminders.

This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, and shared when you use Expiry Bin.

Depending on the features you use and the version of the App, we may handle the following information:

• Product and Inventory Information: Product names, categories, quantities, purchase dates, expiry dates, notes, and custom inventory details entered by you.
• Barcode and Product Lookup: When scanning a barcode, code data is sent to trusted product databases (such as Open Food Facts) to auto-fill metadata. Camera access is strictly limited to barcode capture.
• Reminders and Notifications: Local device alarms and scheduled notifications are configured using your device's system notification service.
• Account and Cloud Backup Information: If you sign in, authentication credentials and encrypted backups are handled securely via Firebase or our cloud infrastructure.
• Subscription Details: In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play and RevenueCat. We never collect or store full credit card or banking details.

Information is processed solely to: - Provide inventory tracking and expiry monitoring. - Schedule and deliver accurate local notifications. - Retrieve product details via barcode scanning. - Synchronize data across your devices if cloud backup is enabled. - Validate active subscriptions and unlock premium features. - Maintain app security, troubleshoot errors, and comply with legal requirements.

We do not sell personal data. Information is only shared with essential infrastructure providers needed to operate the app: - Open Food Facts: Product barcode matching. - Google Play & RevenueCat: Subscription processing and receipt verification. - Firebase / Google Cloud: Optional user authentication, cloud backup, and crash diagnostics.

All third parties process information under strict data protection obligations.

Local data remains on your device until deleted or uninstalled. Cloud backup accounts and associated records can be deleted at any time directly in the app under Profile > System & Data > Delete Account, or through our public Account & Data Deletion Portal.
